Learning to swim is probably one of the most important yet most difficult tasks your child or you will ever learn. In order to swim well, one must develop many skills. It must be understood that all youngsters do not develop at the same rate; some develop more rapidly than others do.
Each swim period will be 45 minutes in length. Within the 45 minutes the student will have 30 minutes of structure time, which will allow 15 minutes to practice the skills learned, or just to have free time and fun with new friends from class. Each session will consist of 8 (45 minute) lessons. If threatening weather is in the immediate area, such as lightening or tornado, lessons will automatically be cancelled and made up at a later date. If for some unforeseeable reason, besides weather, that I should cancel lessons, I will attempt to get a hold of each student ahead of class time. Therefore, it is very important that the students profile is accurate with email, home phone/cell phone. If at any time you feel that for the child's best interest, it would be better to not attend lessons that particular day, I will respect your decision, such as with questionable weather or illness of the child, and those lessons can be made up. However, if the lesson simply passed your mind and was forgotten, I will not be able to make up each of these, since time will be limited with the number of students taking lessons. If for any reason you wish to contact me, there are several ways:
I am looking forward to a fun, safe, and productive swimming experience once again this year. Vickie Schrenk |
